The Mach 5.5 frame is constructed with a lightweight high modulus carbon fiber that allows complete bike to come in at under 27 pounds. Despite its ultra-light weight, the Mach 5.5 matches the durability of the Mach 6. The incredibly stiff and strong carbon fiber that is used to make the frame has a hollow core to save weight while remaining durable enough for a challenging trail ride. This high tech design allows the Pivot Mach 5.5 to be lighter in weight than the vast majority of trail or endurance bikes.

It features a 66.5 degree head angle which is perfect for promoting stability at high speeds and taking on technical descents. The Mach 5.5 also has an evolved version of Pivot’s mid-travel link design. They used the same rear-shock pivot cartridge-bearing technology found on their longer travel models to give this trail bike outstanding small bump compliance.
