The Pivot Switchblade is a symbol of evolution in all-mountain riding. With a progressive geometry and more versatility than ever, the Switchblade can do it all on the trail. Everything from technical endurance riding to high speed single tracks can be taken on with no compromises. The Race version of the Switchblade has an excellent price point while maintaining a professional level. While this version of the Switchblade comes with 29-inch wheels, it can also be equipped with 27.5-inch wheels depending on what type of feel you are looking for on the trail. Thanks to its flip-chip technology, the geometry of this bike is not at all compromised when switching wheel sizes. Everyone’s setup or handling preferences can be accommodated with the do-it-all Pivot Switchblade.
The Pivot Switchblade is one of the rare bikes that is built for every part of the mountain. A specific geometry widens the types of terrain that the Switchblade can take on with no compromises. This new version of the Switchbalde has a shortened and steeper seat tube than ever before to accommodate longer travel seatposts. This makes it easier to take on more technical terrain with confidence and comfort. The new frame design is also more compact than ever before, allowing it to be more stiff, lightweight, and have a lower stand over height than ever before. The Switchblade was always known for its versatility, but now, it is more capable of any challenge than ever before.
This Race XT version of the Switchblade is a high level machine that comes in at a lower price than the Pro versions. In addition to a lightweight carbon fiber frame, it has a Fox Performance Float DPX2 rear suspension for 142mm of rear travel. That suspension falls right in the sweet spot between endurance and cross country on a machine that can do it all. An extra 160mm of travel is at the front of the bike thanks to the Fox Performance 36 Fork which is also 44mm offset and lowers the price. To top it off, this version of the Switchblade comes with a Shimano XT groupset for some of the best trail specific shifting available on the market today. The trail rider who wants to strip away all limits will have a ton of fun on the Pivot Switchblade Race XT.
